FAQ

Common questions from European coaters

MOQs, lead times, color matching, Benelux shipping, payment terms and the invoicing details you'll need on the first order. Anything unanswered reaches the team through /contact.

01 What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

The line-item MOQ is 20 KG per stock SKU, visible on every row in the /catalogue. There is no consolidated basket MOQ on top — two different SKUs at 20 KG each is a valid checkout.

If a job calls for less than 20 KG of a single SKU, we will quote it but the lead-time pledge shifts from the 5-day Ready-to-Ship band to a special-order path through AkzoNobel Belgium.

02 What are the typical lead times for Resicoat EV functional powders?

Resicoat EV functional powders (HJF22R, HNF04R, HJC06R) ship on a 5-day RTS band when in-stock at AkzoNobel Belgium. The Ready-to-Ship badge on the /catalogue row signals that this band applies.

If the Akzo code is not in the current RTS range, we route the order through the longer-lead AkzoNobel Belgium path and surface the new window on the quote before you commit.

03 What are the typical lead times for Interpon D2525 architectural powders?

Interpon D2525 architectural powders (YA218F, YJ204G, YK212G) run on a 21-day band from AkzoNobel Belgium until the Benelux launch wave ships.

Surfacer, primer and top-coat ships packaged together so the full architectural system lands on the same pallet and color continuity is preserved across layers.

04 How does the color-matching workflow work?

Submit the RAL or Pantone reference on the quote and AkzoNobel Belgium maps it to the canonical Akzo code. CoatFlow only quotes against the mapped Akzo code — never the loose RAL/Pantone reference — so the SKU that lands on the pallet matches what we sold at quote time.

The mapped Akzo code sits on the quote line beside the price and lead time, so production planning never reads against an unmapped color reference.

05 Do you ship across the Benelux?

Yes — Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg are covered in the first wave. One outbound carrier handles all three countries, and the 24–72 hour delivery window per country is published at quote time.

The freight term (e.g. DAP delivered to dock) is visible on the quote alongside the price, so the landed cost is the number you see, not a number plus a follow-up call.

06 What about shipping outside the Benelux?

Outside the Benelux, reach us through /contact for the first wave. EU-rollout scope is on the roadmap but it is a manual conversation until the carrier footprint extends across the next customs territory.

For non-stock Akzo inquiries outside the Benelux, the AkzoNobel Belgium sales line (+32 2 255 8882) is still the right first contact.

07 What payment terms do you offer?

Prepayment on the first order. Once an account is opened, 30-day invoice terms apply from the second order onward. We are happy to discuss earlier payment terms on larger standing orders once a baseline of deliveries has landed cleanly.

The first invoice captures your VAT number so any subsequent reverse-charge treatment is clean on both sides.

08 How is VAT handled across NL/BE/LU?

Reverse-charge applies for intra-EU B2B shipments: we issue without Dutch BTW and you self-assess via your local VAT return.

Your NL BTW, BE BTW, or LU TVA number is captured on the first invoice so reverse-charge applies cleanly from order two onward.

09 What are CoatFlow B.V.'s KvK and IBAN details for invoicing?

Kamer van Koophandel (KvK): 00000000 (registered office Eindhoven).
NL BTW: NL000000000B00.
IBAN: NL00 COAT 0000 0000 00.

Placeholders listed here until the pre-launch filings publish the real values. We will refresh this entry as soon as the KvK extract returns and the IBAN is live.

10 Where does CoatFlow sit relative to the AkzoNobel Belgium direct channel?

Same upstream, different layer: every CoatFlow SKU ships from AkzoNobel Belgium. CoatFlow adds the published shipping window, the Ready-to-Ship badge, and the visible MOQ — so a buyer can plan a production run before the order is placed, instead of after a phone tag.

The AkzoNobel Belgium sales line (+32 2 255 8882) remains the right contact for non-stock Akzo inquiries, custom specifications, and anything that does not yet live on a stock SKU shelf.
